Here, in the Default password field, a password can be entered. This password will then always be used when authorization is required, e.g. during a connection to a File Transfer server.

The File Transfer Services

It is possible to exchange files between two Bluetooth enabled devices.

Sending Files

The file transfer client enables the device to perform normal file operations on a remote device. The client establishes a connection to a File Transfer server.

The server must be pre-bonded with the client device before file exchange can take place. The Bluetooth file transfer client utilizes the normal File Explorer and exposes possible file transfer servers as directories in the Bluetooth Neighborhood file volume.

Follow these steps:

  1. Tab , Programs, File Explorer
  2. Select the Bluetooth Neighborhood folder
  3. This will list all File Transfer Servers

Please note that this includes all devices previously bonded with. This implies that it might not be possible to connect to all of the servers listed if they are not in the vicinity or are turned off.

Selecting one of the servers will setup a Bluetooth connection to the server and the files in the File Transfer root directory will be displayed. Using the normal File Explorer commands, e.g. copy or paste, will actually take place on the server device.

Receiving Files

The file transfer server is always active and enables the device to receive files from a remote device.

Both the file transfer client and server can be configured to use Authorization when sending or receiving files (see the File Transfer tab).
